We Want Organic Food was established to share useful, intelligible information about organic food and related topics.

A little history: years ago, we noticed that we didn't seem to be getting enough nutrition from the food we ate, and finally realized that it wasn't us — it was the food. Since we'd always taken care to eat "well", we had to question how that was possible. A good amount of research later, we discovered a lot of factors, such as the pollution we put into our bodies, the pollution in the environment and the life pollution known as stress. All of these tend to lug you down, make you "unhealthy" and take you further away from good health and happiness. We've found that dealing with one or more of these factors generally results in a better quality of life, often with little to no illness or an increased ability to combat illness.

As to the pollution we put in our mouths, we've gone all-organic so that we could give our bodies the nutrition they need, devoid of pesticides and other harmful contaminants.

Along the way, we also discovered that, while many people are interested in organic food, many need more information in order to be able to make proper choices for themselves and their families. But one of the problems you may encounter is in becoming knowledgeable enough to know what to choose — and knowing how to read food labels, because everything labeled "organic" may not be as organic as you think it is. Another is finding good sources for organic food (and, again, being able to ascertain whether something labeled "organic" is really 100% organic).

That's the purpose of this website — to present information about organic food in plain English in one, easily-accessible place. What we offer is information: hard-fought empirical information obtained by trial and error, and information from others who, like ourselves, were found to be successful in improving their health and lives. And information based on properly conducted testing and studies.
