EcoBold: One Woman’s Bold Vision to Help Consumers Get Green
Steffany Boldrini grew up on a small ranch in Brazil and dreamed of making a difference. Raised on organic food and taught at a young age about eating healthy, composting, recycling, and “living with the Earth,†a sense of environmental balance quickly became second nature to the young Boldrini.
With that innate environmental awareness grew a passion for showing others how to make greener, healthier choices. She combined that passion with some entrepreneurial savvy, determination, and a desire to make her mark in the world beyond rural Brazil. EcoBold was born.
Know your strengths
Combining Boldrini’s keen awareness of organic and sustainable products with an effervescent personality and healthy good looks, EcoBold produces weekly video reviews every Tuesday highlighting the latest green products and services. On Fridays, EcoBold posts an interview with a select green product manufacturer.
Many of the products reviewed by Boldrini are available at a discount through coupon codes available on the site, and subscribers to EcoBold receive regular updates and discounts as they become available.
Along with the reviews, interviews, and product discounts, EcoBold has launched a One Million Trees project, pledging to plant a million trees in select areas throughout the world. The goal of the project is two-fold: to encourage people to subscribe to the site and then to plant a tree for every new subscriber. One million subscribers to EcoBold and one million trees planted throughout the world.
Entrepreneurial women making a difference
Featured in a recent Huffington Post article as one of the new Power Girls – women creating businesses that foster positive social change – Boldrini sees a woman’s role in both business and social change as especially important and vital, keenly tuned to the type of world being left to future generations.
“Women seem to be more and more worried about what kind of planet they’re leaving their children,†says Boldrini. “In fact, quite a few women that I’ve interviewed started their green companies right after having kids.â€
EcoBold is only nine months old, but the popularity of the site – powered primarily on the knowledge and personal appeal of Boldrini – is quickly gaining steam. Boldrini says she has plans to launch a green marketplace on the site, and will continue to seek out the best, greenest, and most sustainable products and services for her growing audience.
From humble beginnings, great things are born
I’m a big fan of the “solopreneur†– one person with a vision utilizing their talents and available tools to build their dreams. It’s how change is made.
TriplePundit is one prime example. It wasn’t too long ago that this blog was little more than an idea in publisher Nick Aster’s head. Now it is a driving force in the sustainable business community.
After just a brief conversation with Boldrini, I expect nothing less from EcoBold. Talking with Boldrini, or watching her videos, it doesn’t take long to become beguiled with her charm and passion for creating a better world.
And from humble beginnings, great things are born.
